Although I opted for the late-morning lunch… and might I add, I ate it as if it was my last meal on death row, I found Miss Shirley’s Cafe on 750 E Pratt Street absolutely fabulous. If you haven’t been… GO! I’m not a big breakfast gal so it was the perfect place for me to eat at 10am. It was a tough decision but I had the chicken club with apple smoked bacon and a side of sweet potato fries (my favorite!) and let me tell ya… it didn’t disappoint.
Since I’m new to the area, I was really happy to find a place I know I can go to for a great meal. And there was PLENTY of free parking which is alway a bonus.
The wait staff was great, the ambiance, the menu was really hard to choose from (dieters beware!) and on this lovely morning in beautiful Baltimore, Cal RIpken was sitting in the corner.
So take my advice and head to Miss Shirley’s. It’s 11:36 am and I won’t need a meal until dinner time.
Don’t forget, Jeremy Guthrie takes the hill tonight for the O’s in Game 2 of the 2010 season. Guthrie needs to prove that a bad spring means nothing. Catch all the action right here on 105.7 The Fan.
