ozzienewsome385 Ravens Trade Pick To Denver

The Baltimore Ravens, under the guidance of GM Ozzie Newsome,  have traded their first-round pick in the 2010 NFL draft to the Denver Broncos. The picks the Ravens got from Denver were the 43rd overall, the 70th and 114th. This gives the Ravens a total of 7 picks, instead of only 5.

According to Mike Duffy of BaltimoreRavens.com

the Ravens can now take advantage of the deepest drafts in recent history with a crop of second- and third-round talents that can help a team immediately.

Baltimore had never traded out of the first round in team history, but general manager Ozzie Newsome told BaltimoreRavens.com that he would not hesitate to do so for additional picks.

Come on guys lets be honest, last night Ozzie got his bell rung and was off his game when Dallas jumped up and got Dez.After that Ozzie took his ball and decided to call it a day while players they were still targeting were going like hot cakes.Ozzie just off his game for one day

I wouldn’t say the great and powerful OZ got his bell rung, he just developed a plan of attack and stuck to it. It could’ve gone either way. Like you said, they called it a day when their prospects were gone, but that was the plan. I think he made a great decision and in no way was “off his game”. I’m thrilled with this deal, especially after Denver used that pick on Tim Tebow. It couldn’t have gone any better for the Ravens. 8 hrs 24 min and counting…
