At Least 46 PG Officers Accused Of Misconduct

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) -- Three Prince George's County police officers who have been arrested as part of a federal investigation into corruption in the county represent only a fraction of county police officers accused of misconduct in other cases.

That's according to police officials and internal police department records obtained by The Washington Post.

Documents show at least 46 Prince George's officers have been suspended or assigned to administrative duties. The newspaper reports that in at least 19 of those cases, investigators have reason to believe the officers committed a crime.

Only three of the cases are known to have a direct relationship to the federal investigation that led to the arrest of County Executive Jack Johnson.
