Man Stabbed Outside Metro Station

WASHINGTON (AP) ― A Metro spokeswoman says a passenger exiting the yellow and green line’s Georgia Avenue/Petworth station was stabbed in the neck.

Spokeswoman Lisa Farbstein says the man was stabbed just after 4 p.m. Sunday after passing through the station’s fare gates.

Farbstein says the man was taken to the hospital and that Metro transit police are investigating the incident.

No one is currently in custody, and the man’s condition was unknown.
