Md. Inmate Returns After Walking Off Work Release

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) – Maryland State Police say an inmate who walked off work release has turned himself in.

Police say Frank Macdonald walked off work release Saturday night and turned himself in Sunday morning at Maryland Correctional Training Center. Macdonald was working at a KFC in Hagerstown when police say he was seen getting into a blue Honda with his girlfriend, who also worked at the restaurant.

Police say Macdonald is serving a 30-month sentence for second-degree assault.
