BLOG: NFL Week 14 Predictions

I can't believe that there are only 4 more weeks left in the 2010 season.  It always seems like the NFL season goes by way too fast.  So last week I had one of my many good weeks, I went 12-4 in week 13.  My record through 13 weeks of football is a pretty good 120-72, probably one of the best years predicting I've ever had.  Now that I have successfully jinxed myself lets dive right into week 14.

Colts (6-6) vs. Titans (5-7) --The Colts have not looked like the Colts this season and its weird to say this but they might not make the playoffs this year.  As bad as it is in Indianapolis its worse in Tennessee.  Rusty Smith is their QB, i know the Colts have struggled but if they lose this game their season may be over.  PREDICTION---COLTS

Browns (5-7) vs. Bills (2-10) --Two teams that are better than their records say.  With the Browns in the coming weekes they can play spoiler with some big divisional matchups.  Buffalo was torched last week against a sub par Minnesota team.  The Browns are the more physical team that should suit them well in the cold of Buffalo.  PREDICTION---BROWNS

Packers (8-4) vs. Lions (2-10) --I hope for the love of god we never see those Green Bay throwbacks ever again.  For the Lions they have to try something because nothing is working in another lost season.  Green Bay needs to keep pace with Chicago to this game is a must.  PREDICTION---PACKERS

Giants (8-4) vs. Vikings (5-7) --The Vikings are playing better for some reason under their new coach, but most of the talk this week has been about whether or not Favre will start.  On the other side New York is still in the thick of the NFC East race.  Playing in Minnesota is tough but the Giants are just a better team.  PREDICTION---GIANTS

Bengals (2-10) vs. Steelers (9-3) --I'm sure Baltimore fans don't want to hear this but Ben Roethlisberger is one tough player.  Not many guys could play with a broken nose and broken foot.  Cincinnati has absolutely nothing to play for but pride and honestly I don't think that matters to them.  PREDICTION---STEELERS

Buccaneers (7-5) vs. Redskins (5-7) --This is a tough one for me, the Buccs cant seem to get over the hump and the Redskins are just a debacle.  Tampa Bay let a season defining win slip through their fingers last week in blowing a 10 point fourth quarter lead to Atlanta.  I'm not too confident in this pick but ill go with the home team.  PREDICTION---REDSKINS

Falcons (10-2) vs. Panthers (1-11) --I know in a division matchup you throw the records out the window.  But here im willing to make an exception, Atlanta is one of the best teams and Carolina might be the worst team.  The Falcons are too good a team to lose this one.  PREDICTION---FALCONS

Raiders (6-6) vs. Jaguars (7-5) --Oakland has had a couple of head scratching weeks.  Two weeks ago they got hammered by Miami at home and then they dominate the hottest team in football in San Diego.  With the Colts still struggling Jacksonville needs to keep winning to try to separate from the division.  PREDICTION---JAGUARS

Seahawks (6-6) vs. 49ers (4-8) --This is another tough one for me, the Niners have Alex Smith as the starter which is not good for them.  However the Seahawks are just 2-4 on the road this season.  This is a flip of a coin for me so its San Fran for me.  PREDICTION---49ERS

Rams (6-6) vs. Saints (9-3) --Even at 6-6 the Rams are the class of the NFC West, which says a lot about that division.  New Orleans is playing better even if they got lucky with that game last week against the Bengals.  The Saints are playing at home so it gives them the advantage in this one.  PREDICTION---SAINTS

Patriots (10-2) vs. Bears (9-3) --New England made a huge statement with that 45-3 thumping they handed the Jets on Monday night.  So its natural to expect a letdown after that huge emotional high.  I have been down on the Bears all year now that I like them im sure there going to disappoint.  PREDICTION---BEARS

Dolphins (6-6) vs. Jets (9-3) --Looking at the records it seems like the Jets have the huge advantage.  But this is a division matchup and the Dolphins and Jets always play each other tough.  Now even though i just pumped this up to be a close game ill still take New York, they need to rebound from last weeks debacle.  PREDICTION---JETS

Broncos (3-9) vs. Cardinals (3-9) --Twice this season teams who have had a coach fired won their first game after the firing.  So this gives the advantage to Denver who relieved Josh McDaniels of his duties earlier this week.  Arizona is awful home or away and their QB issues is severely hurting this team.  PREDICTION---BRONCOS

Chiefs (8-4) vs. Chargers (6-6) --All week i was loving Kansas City in this game, but then came the news of Matt Cassel's appendectomy no way he plays this week.  Brodie Croyle will start and he has never won a start.  For San Diego this is their season, a loss they will be 3 games out with 3 games left, it's a must win.  PREDICTION---CHARGERS

Eagles (8-4) vs. Cowboys (4-8) --Dallas is coming off another impressive win over the Colts.  The Eagles had a nice bounce back win over Houston and have been off since Thursday.  Division rivalries are always tough to predict because the record don't really mean anything.  However Philly is a better team and they need it more.  PREDICTION---EAGLES

Ravens (8-4) vs. Texans (5-7) --You have to imagine the Ravens are really mad the way they lost last Sunday.  Houston has a pretty good offense but their defense is horrendous.  There is no reason why the Ravens can't put up big numbers on the Texans.  If they don't I think panic will set in here in Baltimore.  PREDICTION---RAVENS
