4 Women Attacked In Wheaton Area

WHEATON, Md. (AP) — Montgomery County police say four women have been attacked at night over the past several weeks in the Wheaton and Aspen Hill areas.

Three of the victims were sexually assaulted, and one was raped. Police aren’t sure if the crimes are connected but are exploring that possibility.

Police say in all but one of the attacks, the victim had just gotten off a bus when she was accosted. And in the first three cases, the victim was forced into a wooded area.

The attacks occurred on Oct. 26, Nov. 20, Dec. 1 and Dec. 4. The suspect has generally been described as a man between 25 and 30 years old, with a thin to average build.
