Baltimore Police Investigate Rash Of Overnight Shootings

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Baltimore Police are investigating a rash of overnight shootings.

At 1:49 a.m. Saturday, officers reported to the intersection of E. Preston and N. Asquith for a shooting.  The victim was shot in the legs.  He has been taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.  Three men were seen running from the scene.

At 4:05 a.m., police reported to the 3700 block of Ravenwood Avenue.  They found a man who had been shot in the head.  He was taken to Bayview, where he later died.  

At 4:31 a.m., police were called to the 3100 block of Monument Street, where they found a woman shot in the head.  She was pronounced dead at the scene.  They believe that this may be connected to the 4:05 a.m. shooting, though they did not specify why.

At 5:56 a.m., police responded to the 100 block of N. Ellwood Avenue and found a man shot in the neck, torso and leg.  He was taken to an area hospital, where he is in serious condition.  He is expected to recover.

At 6:16 a.m., police responded to N. Lakewood for a shooting.  They found a man shot in the head.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.

    What would possess anyone to shoot and kill innocent human beings? Sound as though he/they/she is on a revenge path.

    What do most people do with their free time or when they get bored? Read,play games, sleep? These people are going around shooting people. This isn’t Gand Theft Auto. When you shoot someone they can die and never come back. May God have mercy on the people that are doing this.
