2 Judges Confirmed To Md. Federal Bench
BALTIMORE (AP) -- The U.S. Senate has confirmed two new judges to the federal bench in Baltimore.
Ellen Hollander and James Bredar were confirmed as U.S. District Court judges last week.
Hollander has sat on the Maryland Court of Special Appeals since 1994. She will take the seat left vacant when President Barack Obama appointed Judge Andre Davis to the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
Bredar, a U.S. magistrate judge since 1998, will succeed Judge J. Frederick Motz, who has taken senior status.
