Stolen Decorations Installed, Lighted At Md. House
TOWSON, Md. (AP) -- The Vogel family had some lovely holiday decorations on their lawn. Some were even lighted up.
Trouble is, those weren't their decorations. The ornaments were stolen from other homes and planted in their yard -- all without the Vogels' knowledge.
Homeowner Tom Vogel discovered the unasked-for decorations Thursday morning. During the night, someone decorated his lawn with an angel, a reindeer, an inflatable Santa, some Christmas packages, a baby Jesus and a Christmas wreath.
The vandals went so far as to run extension cords to power the items.
While the prank was probably intended to be funny, Baltimore County police aren't laughing. A spokesman says some of the stolen items are worth more than $100 and their owners probably want them back.
