Orioles Owner Bids To Buy Rosecroft And Put Slots There
FORT WASHINGTON, Md. (WJZ) -- The owner of the Baltimore Orioles isn't giving up on his quest to bring slots to Prince George's County.
According to WJZ's media partner, the Baltimore Sun, Peter Angelos is offering to pay at least $14 million to take over the now bankrupt Rosecroft Raceway and bring slots there.
A bankruptcy court would have to approve the deal, as would voters, to amend the state's constitution.
Angelos backed out of the deal in 2005 when slots weren't approved.
