Ex-Day Care Provider Sentenced In Infant's Death

EASTON, Md. (AP) -- A Talbot County Circuit Court judge has sentenced a 53-year-old woman to 20 years in prison for the death of an infant in her care.

Gail Dobson of Trappe was convicted in August of second-degree murder in the death of 9-month-old Trevor James Ulrich.

Police were called to Dobson's home on Sept. 2, 2009 after she said the infant was having trouble breathing. He died the next day at Children's Hospital in Washington.

The D.C. medical examiner ruled the child's death a homicide.
