City To Use Former Pharmacy As Business Incubator
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- The Hagerstown City Council has approved the purchase of a former pharmacy to use as a business incubator space downtown.
The council voted unanimously on Tuesday to spend $220,000 to buy the former CVS building on West Washington Street.
Hagerstown will use downtown revitalization funds, capital improvement funds and a grant to buy the building.
The incubator will offer management, guidance, technical assistance and consultation to growing companies.
City officials will hold a meeting on Jan. 18, during which businesses can offer suggestions for the space.
