Watching the Maryland Terps play the Wake Forest Demon Deacons last night, it really shocked me how bad Wake is.  Give the Terps credit, winning on the road in conference is never supposed to be easy.  That one was as close to easy as it gets though.  The cupboard is bare in Winston-Salem.  On the positive side, Jordan Williams is an absolute monster for Gary Williams squad.  He posted another double-double last night.  One final bit of good news for any Terp fan from last night: Duke lost at Florida St.

    Dear Ken,

This post is not very informative. As a reader, I would like to know your thoughts on why the Wake Forest cupboard is bare!

    Oh here are some thoughts:

This is not the Wake Forest team that they thought would be playing. If “student-athlets” had not forgone eligibility, nor had a legal issue, or broken bones, the projected starting lineup would be:

C – Tony Woods (left school after a domestic dispute no charges were filed)
PF – James Johnson (left early for NBA)
SF – Al-Farouq Aminu (left early for the NBA)
SG – Jeff Teague (left early for the NBA)
PG – Tony Chennault (broke bones in foot in first game of the season)

I believe these facts are needed to complete the story above.

I had to listen to the Masryland-Villanova game on a distant station because 105.7 THE FAN did not broadcast the game live. The feed was 30 seconds behing the feed of the distant station. This is 22 seconds more than the unavoidable digital delay. I thought the problem was corrected over a year ago.
I hope the game with Virginia Tech will be a live broadcast.
