BALTIMORE (WJZ) –There’s an explosion of purple pride across Maryland as the Ravens push forward on the road to the Super Bowl.
Kelly McPherson explains that fans are ready for a big win.
They are ready for a big win. The closer we get to the Super Bowl, the more excitement, the more elaborate the clothes and the cars, and everything else. We saw more this Friday than we’ve seen in any other Purple Friday.
The Roving Ravens Rally took over Canton on Friday night.
“I’m real pumped up because it’s a big game, it’s a big rival and it’s a playoff game,” said one Ravens fan.
It’s all about “team pride. Beat Pittsburgh, go Ravens!” said another fan.
“I hope we win, so everybody can be happy,” said a hopeful fan.
We’re sure the team is thinking the same as they fly off to Pittsburgh and prepare for the Saturday game.
Even the youngest Baltimore fans showed off their purple pride, cheering on their team.
Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake has bet the Pittsburgh mayor, and she’s ready to cash in.
“I know one thing, he’s going to look good in that purple and black,” Rawlings-Blake said.
Fans brought out their loudest and most elaborate spirit the day before the big game.
“It’s a win by what most people say a field goal. I think it’s going to be a win by more than seven,” said a fan.
So what do Ravens fans have to say to Pittsburgh fans?
“It’s our turn. Bye-bye,” said a Ravens fan.
That’s the sentiment all over Baltimore. We are ready for win.
Will the game end with the Ravens moving onto the AFC Championship or coming home? There is only one way to find out: Watch it Saturday at 4:30 p.m. on WJZ-13.
And remember, sports director Mark Viviano will lead WJZ complete coverage direct from Pittsburgh.
