FREDERICK, Md. (AP) — Some community groups in Frederick are inviting government, business and spiritual leaders to a dinner in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.

Leaders of HandsOn Frederick County say organizers of the event Sunday at the downtown Cafe Nola include the local United Way and NAACP chapters and the UNESCO Center for Peace.

Participants will discuss strategies for solving local social issues.

It’s part of an effort to mobilize hundreds of county residents to serve their communities.

What is up with all the non-stories on this website? All the stories are vague, uninteresting, poorly written stories with little facts and stock pictures. All of the personalization that went with the old site is gone. I have been coming here less and less due to the awful changes made here. Does anyone even read the comments on this site? Where are the pictures from this dinner? How many people showed up?

I agree. Ever since CBS rolled out these generic websites, this site has been as bland, soulless, and cookie-cutter as all the suburban housing developments eating up every square inch of the state.
