Coppin State Rallies By South Carolina State 84-80

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Jordan Lee had 14 points, leading five Coppin State players in double figures as the Eagles stormed past South Carolina State 84-80 Monday night.

South Carolina State, trying to halt a road losing streak that instead reached eight games, led by 12 late in the first half and carried a 36-28 lead into halftime. But the Eagles (7-9, 2-2 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) started making the 3-pointers that wouldn't fall in the first half.

Coppin State was 8 of 14 from 3-point range in the second half, after a 2-of-11 first half beyond the arc.

Michael Harper and Vince Goldsberry had 13 points apiece for the Eagles. Teammates Akeem Ellis and Tony Gallo each contributed 12. The balanced attack led to 56 second-half points, twice as many as the Eagles scored in the first.

Tyvon Williams led the Bulldogs (5-12, 1-3) with 16 points. Khalif Toombs and Brandon Riley each added 15.
