SEVERN, Md. (AP) — Police have identified a 23-year-old Severn man who was shot to death during a home invasion.
The victim was Vejar Rodwell. Anne Arundel County police say their investigation into the slaying early Friday morning is in its early stages, but it appears Rodwell was targeted and the slaying wasn’t random.
Police were called to the home just minutes after midnight and found Rodwell inside the home suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say a man forced his way into the house, shot Rodwell and fled. Detectives are interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence.
