Prince George’s County Records 15th Murder Of Year

DISTRICT HEIGHTS, Md. (AP) — Police are investigating a homicide at a shopping center in District Heights that would be the 15th so far this year in Prince George’s County.

Police say Mckinney Antonio White Jr., 34, of District Heights was found about 5 p.m. Monday suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say a person with a gun approached White, who was sitting in a car at the Penn Station Shopping Center and opened fire.

Police counts show there were five homicides in all of January 2010 and nine in January 2009.
