Md. Man Dies After Shoveling Snow

WESTMINSTER, Md. (AP) -- The Carroll County Sheriff's Office says a Westminster man collapsed and died while shoveling snow.

A deputy was notified about 10 a.m. Thursday that a man had collapsed on Cherrytown Road. Two motorists stopped and were performing CPR on the man, who was lying in a driveway.

The man, Michael Harmony, 32, was taken to Carroll Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead. Harmony's father said he had seen his son an hour earlier shoveling the driveway.

Harmony's body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for autopsy.
