The great Scott Garceau, one of the most respected broadcasters in the country (let alone 105.7 THE FAN), joined The Norris & Davis Show to talk about the HOF voting process and the Jim Zorn firing.  Interesting, Mike Preston was in for Ed today.  Mike was the HOF voter that left to make way for Scott to become the voter!

Since you’re a voter for the NFL Hall of Fame, I want to suggest thru this email that you strongly consider a number of individuals.

The first is Dermonti Dawson. While hard to put statistics to a center’s career, Dawson played 12 years and was, as many view the induction into the Hall of Fame, the best at his position during his career, bar none.

I also believe you should vote for Cris Carter, as well. His statistics speak for themselves and few wide receivers have the type of career that he has had, and I would have expected him to have to been voted in already.

Finally, I believe Jerome Bettis deserves to be voted into the Hall of Fame, as well.

It is extremely difficult this year with the number of quality running backs eligible for induction, but to put it simply, Bettis is a champion on and of the field and epitomizes all that is correct for a running back in the NFL …longevity…statistics…leadership, championships and has been recognized for his volunteer and charitable work by winning the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award.

Please consider these great players when you make your selections next week.

    Thank you.
