Medical Helicopter Makes Abrupt Landing In Md.

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Airport officials say no one was injured when a private medical helicopter had an abrupt landing Saturday morning at the Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.

Spokesman Jonathan Dean says mechanical problems caused the abrupt landing. The helicopter was carrying a patient who was transferred to a local hospital.

Dean says the BK 117 model helicopter was operated by LifeNet Health. He did not immediately have details on where the helicopter flew from or its destination.
