Old Dominion Dominates Towson 80-57

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) -- Kent Bazemore scored 17 points and Frank Hassell added 16 points and 10 rebounds as Old Dominion defeated Towson 80-57 on Saturday.

The Monarchs (17-5, 8-3 Colonial Athletic Association) shot 62.7 percent from the floor (32 of 51), including 9 of 15 from 3-point range (60 percent) en route to their fifth victory in six games.

Keyon Carter added 13 points, while Ben Finney and Trian Iliadis had 11 apiece for ODU, which led 34-27 at halftime and extended the lead with a 17-of-25 second-half shooting performance.

ODU dominated inside, outrebounding Towson 33-12 and posting a 41-20 edge in points in the paint.

Josh Brown scored 19 points, Isaiah Philmore added 13 and RaShawn Polk 11 for the Tigers (4-17, 0-11), who have lost nine straight overall and 12 conference games in a row dating back to last season.
