Polar Bear Plunge

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Participants in an annual polar bear plunge are taking a dip in the Chesapeake Bay in Annapolis.

Saturday’s plunge raises money for the Special Olympics Maryland.

This is the 15th annual polar bear plunge. Since 1997 the event has raised more than $16 million for the Special Olympics.

To bad we don’t address the victims/survivors of rape victims in such a bold, vocal way.

But, that’s a small minded country, isn’t it.

what !. What does that have to do with raising money for the special Olympics. Do you make a commet like this every time some raises money for some thing other then rape. I am sure at some time this year there will be a fund raiser for Rape victims. I t sounds like you think that no besides rape vicittims deserves any help. We have lotts of problem in this world, let be happy every time some one helps one. You are angery person and need to seek help. Rape is terible and needs fundraisers but that does not mean that we should help the special olimpics. PLease seek help lynn
