Horse Shot In Leg In Md.; Animal Euthanized
CHARLOTTE HALL, Md. (AP) -- The Charles County Sheriff's Office say a show horse was shot last month in Charlotte Hall.
It happened Jan. 21 on Old Homeplace Drive. Deputies say the horse's owner found it lying in a pasture with a gunshot wound to its leg. The animal had to be euthanized.
Deputies say there have been other incidents involving horse in the area since 2008. While there is no evidence linking the incidents, deputies are investigating any connections.
The Sheriff's Office say a reward has been offered that leads to the arrest and indictment of suspects in the most recent incident.
