OLNEY, Md. (AP) — Montgomery County police say a private school admissions director charged with sexually abusing a student has surrendered to authorities.

Forty-seven-year-old Thomas Charles Wilson of Olney turned himself in to Montgomery County police about 11:30 a.m. Friday.

Police say he was charged with one count of sexual abuse of a minor, two counts of third-degree sexual offense and one count of fourth-degree sexual offense. He is being held on $500,000 bond.

Wilson is the admissions director of Washington Christian Academy in Olney. A current student there reported being
inappropriately touched by Wilson. Police say the student told detectives on Wednesday that the incidents occurred on school property between Jan. 1 and Tuesday.
