Maryland-Eastern Shore Tops NC A&T 83-82

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. (AP) -- Hillary Haley scored 28 points, including the winning free throws with 3 seconds left, and Maryland-Eastern Shore edged North Carolina A&T 83-82 on Monday night.

The game featured nine ties and 17 lead changes, but the Hawks (6-17, 3-7 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) made their work inside pay off, rallying from 13 points down in the second half. They outscored North Carolina A&T 44-34 in the paint and outrebounded the Aggies 43-35.

Thomas Coleman led North Carolina A&T (10-14, 5-5) with 20 points, but was called for an offensive foul as he went for a game-winning basket with 1 second left.

Kevin White added 14 points and Tyler Hines had 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Hawks, who won their second in a row after snapping a five-game losing streak.

The Aggies (10-14, 5-5) made one field goal in the game's final 4:49 and lost their fourth in the last five games.
