Florida A&M Beats Maryland-Eastern Shore 63-55

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- Larry Jackson scored 18 points and Avery Moore added 17 to lead Florida A&M over Maryland-Eastern Shore 63-55 on Saturday night.

The Rattlers (10-14, 5-6 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) led 29-26 at halftime after holding the Hawks to 7-of-26 shooting from the floor (26.9 percent) in the opening half.

FAMU stayed in front thanks to a solid effort from the free-throw line in the second half. The Rattlers made 17 of 21 from the line (81 percent) after halftime — led by Jackson's 10 of 13.

With the score tied at 52 with 1:31 left to play, FAMU finished 11 for 12 from the line to seal the victory.

Kevin White scored 13 points, Lyvann Obame Obame added 10 and Tyler Hines grabbed 15 rebounds for the Hawks (6-18, 3-8).

Brandon Hosley scored 11 points and Yannick Crowder pulled down 10 rebounds for the Rattlers, who shot just 34 percent from the field (16 of 47).
