Police Investigate Shooting Involving Off-Duty Officer
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Police are investigating a shooting that involves an off-duty police officer.
According to police, around 7:50 p.m. Friday at the 500-block of Harwood Avenue, an off-duty officer was sitting in his car with his pregnant girlfriend when a suspect approached the car and attempted to get inside.
There was a scuffle between the officer and the suspect and the officer's gun discharged. The bullet didn't hit anyone and the suspect was taken into custody.
The woman was taken to the hospital as a precaution, but no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
