UNC Wilmington Edges Towson 95-93 In OT

TOWSON, Md. (AP) -- Chad Tomko scored 11 of his 31 points in the final 1:25 of overtime as North Carolina-Wilmington overcame a 22-point second-half deficit to defeat Towson 95-93 on Saturday.

The Tigers, who led 58-36 with 14:02 left in regulation, took an 87-84 lead with 1:39 to go on a Brian Morris 3-pointer.

Tomko then scored on a driving layup, a steal and layup, a 3-pointer and two free throws for a 93-87 lead with 23 seconds left.

Morris, who scored 12 points of his 21 points in overtime, knocked down a 3-pointer with 10 seconds left, then Tomko hit two more foul shots.

A Morris free throw got Towson to 95-91 with 6 seconds to go.

After the Seahawks (12-14, 6-9 Colonial Athletic Association) were called for a five-second violation, Isaiah Philmore scored on a slam dunk with 1.2 seconds left.

Philmore had a career-high 33 for the Tigers (4-21, 0-15), who have lost 14 straight.
