Wagner Holds Off Mount St. Mary's 70-65

NEW YORK (AP) -- Tyler Murray scored 16 points and Wagner hit four free throws in the final 1.4 seconds to defeat Mount St. Mary's (Md.) 70-65 on Saturday night.

The Seahawks (13-12, 9-5 Northeast Conference) shot 66.7 percent from the floor (12 of 18) in the second half to snap the Mountaineers' three-game winning streak, which including a 71-57 victory over Wagner on Wednesday.

Wagner led the entire second half, but Lamar Trice hit a 3-pointer to cut the deficit to 66-65 with 3 seconds to play.

Mount St. Mary's (10-17, 8-6) fouled Latif Rivers, who hit two free throws, and after a turnover, sent T.J. Czeski to the line. He hit both of his attempts for the final margin.

Rivers, Chris Martin and Orlando Parker scored 10 points each for Wagner, which has won three of four games.

Trice finished with 17 points and Shawn Atupem added 12 for Mount St. Mary's.
