Man Killed In Beltway Crash In Prince George's Co.

FORESTVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Authorities say a fiery tractor-trailer crash on the inner loop of the Capital Beltway in Prince George's County has killed one man and injured another, and a lane of the highway remains closed.

At 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, one right lane of the inner loop was still blocked.

Police say the tractor-trailer struck several cars and then slammed into a bridge embankment of the D'Arcy Road overpass in Forestville and caught fire about 11 p.m. Tuesday. The driver of the tractor-trailer was trapped inside the cab of the truck and has died.

Prince George's County fire department spokesman Mark Brady says paramedics also treated one person injured in the crash.
