Man Killed, Wife Hurt When Car Hits Tree

ELKTON, Md. (AP) — Authorities say a man was killed when the vehicle he was a passenger in crashed into a tree. 

Keith Ward, 46, of Elkton died at the scene of Sunday afternoon’s crash. 

Police say Ward was a passenger in an SUV driven by his wife, Jeana Lynn Ward. Officials say the vehicle started to run off the road and Jeana Ward overcorrected, striking a tree. 

Jeana Ward, 43, was taken to Christiana Hospital in Delaware. 

The crash is under investigation.
