Shooting Suspect Ruled Incompetent For Trial
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- A man accused of killing a driver sitting at a traffic signal last summer has been ruled incompetent to stand trial.
The ruling Monday by Anne Arundel Circuit Judge Philip Caroom means that James William King Jr., 26, will be held at Clifton T. Perkins Hospital Center in Jessup until a doctor deems him competent to stand trial.
King is charged with first-degree murder in the Aug. 6 slaying of Calvin Chi-Man Yeung, 40, of Severn.
Police say Yeung was in his car waiting for a red light to change in Severn when a man approached the driver's side and shot him twice in the head.
