Workers Allowed Back Into Social Security Building After Evacuation

WOODLAWN, Md. (WJZ) -- The Social Security Administration building in Woodlawn is back to normal after it was evacuated due to a suspicious package.

Officials say UPS delivered the package to 1500 Woodlawn Drive around 1:45 p.m. Thursday.

The bomb squad was called to the scene to investigate. Employees waited outside while the building was searched.

It was later determined the package only had electronics in it and was safe.

Workers were allowed to return to work.
