5 Orange Line Stations Closed For Weekend Work

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Five stations on Metro's orange line are closed this weekend as the transit agency does major work. The orange line is shut down between Stadium-Armory and New Carrollton.

Metro will operate a shuttle between the stations, but passengers should add 30 minutes to their trip.

In addition, a portion of the blue line between Stadium-Armory and Benning Road is closed, and passengers will have to take a shuttle between those two stations. Passengers should expect to add 15 to 20 minutes to their commute.

Finally, on the red line, trains will share one track between the Friendship Heights and Medical Center, adding 20 minutes to travel times.
