Md. Man Charged With Running Over Warehouse Worker

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Baltimore police say a man has been charged with running over an employee who caught the man apparently breaking into a truck outside a warehouse.

Police say Ellerson Carter, 55, of Annapolis was arrested after the attempted break-in Saturday and charged with murder, assault and burglary.

Det. Jeremy Silbert says George Marshall, 57, of Catonsville and an unidentified employee were working about 3 p.m. Saturday when they encountered a man apparently breaking into a truck. Silbert says that's when the two tried to stop the man, the suspect fled in his own truck, fatally striking Marshall.

The unidentified employee was taken to a local hospital and is expected to survive.
