Retired Episcopal Priest Held On Sex Charges

ELKTON, Md. (AP) — A retired Episcopal priest accused of molesting two girls while living in Cecil County is still being held in custody after a judge reduced his bond.

Prosecutors say Donald Belcher molested a 15-year-old girl in 2006 and an 8-year-old girl in September while living in North East. After being indicted in November, he was arrested in December in Montana and was extradited to Maryland in January.

On Friday, Retired Cecil County Circuit Court Judge O. Robert Lidums reduced Belcher’s bond to $100,000 from $250,000.

Hate those that drape themselves in the cloth, preach Jesus & then take advantage of innocent victims. Jail for life. This is typical of your conservative right wing politician. Right up the Moral Majority Pat Robertson 700 club base.

Gee, another CHRISTIAN abusing kids. Tell me, how often you you hear of Buddhust, Jewish or Muslim religious officials in this country abusing kids? The Christians seem to have the market cornered, don’t they? Humm….

Hey, if there is a bright side to this story. At least it wasn’t an alter boy….

(Tasteless, I know. Seriously though, these men of faith and honor should face public castration for their actions, enough is enough)

Sentence him to fifty years in prison that houses sexual predators. He should fit in there nicely or should I say they will fit in nicely up his butt.
