BLOG: Flood Watch

We are getting a break from the rain today, but another round is on the way.

Another large, slow moving storm is moving our way.  Clouds are already coming in ahead of it today and will take over by tomorrow.  It will be dry most of tomorrow with the rain arriving late tomorrow afternoon or evening and then continuing on and off through overnight Thursday.  There will be rounds of heavy rain and maybe even a few thunderstorms.  A few inches of rainfall is possible out of this storm, and that's why a flood watch has already been posted for most of the state tomorrow evening through late Thursday.  Flood warnings are possible during this time, and we will pass any along if they do come out.

The center of this storm will head up into Canada, and will try to pivot the cold front with the really messy weather out of here Friday.  However, with the center of that storm hanging back, we are not going to be completely finished with it then.  The winds will pick up Friday and some sunshine will break through but then the next part of that storm will swing by late Saturday into Sunday.  It will bring another round of clouds and maybe scattered showers through with it.

After that, it looks like this stormy weather pattern continues with a few more lined up coming into the west coast and heading our way for next week.
