Carroll County Health Department To Become Tobacco-Free
WESTMINSTER, Md. (AP) -- The Carroll County Health Department campus is getting ready to go tobacco free.
The department will ban smoke and smokeless tobacco on its property, including in personal vehicles, on April 20. A committee made up of smokers and nonsmokers worked on the issue.
The policy is intended to promote and protect the health of the clients and workers.
Health education director Kim Spangler says it's long overdue for the Health Department to go tobacco free.
