Blue Angels Won’t Perform At Navy Ceremony

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — The Blue Angels won’t perform eye-catching rolls and dives at this year’s Naval Academy graduation ceremonies.

The graduation ceremonies normally occur on the Friday before Memorial Day, but were moved this year to the following Tuesday to avoid traffic tieups. But the new date of May 29 didn’t match the schedule of the flight demonstration squadron.

Instead of their traditional hour-long show, the Blue Angels plan to do a single fly-over in 2012.

Who gives a s….t, the traffic, crowds on & off the water were a pain in my ass plus the cost of fuel to run those jets. We are having to live on less so should they.

I thought this was for 2012 but that this year’s show would go on as planned.

  • Cindy

Is this correct for 2011? I thought they weren’t doing the show in 2012?

  • Cindy

I think this is wrong. May 29, 2011 is a Sunday. May 29, 2012 is a Tuesday. The Blue Angels won’t fly in 2012.
