Woman Fatally Struck By Own Car In Md.

GERMANTOWN, Md. (AP) -- A Germantown woman has died after being struck by her own car.

Police in Montgomery County say Gloria Maria Vergara Mansilla, 48, was leaving her house Friday when she stopped her car on a steep part of her driveway and went around to the rear.

Police say a preliminary investigation suggests the car remained in drive and moved backward and struck her. Police say the vehicle kept going until coming to rest against a fence.

Mansilla was transported to a hospital and later died.
