As it turns out the University of Maryland basketball season came to an end Friday night in Greensboro, North Carolina. After Duke put them away, it was assumed that while the Terps wouldn’t be dancing, they would be invited to the NIT.  When the NIT pairings came out Sunday evening, I was surprised they weren’t a part of it.  Reality is they weren’t that good this year.   Should they have been in the NIT?  Maybe, but thats not a battle I’m going to fight.  All I know is a core of players that includes Jordan Williams, Terrell Stoglin, and Nick Faust should be decent.  I’m excited to see what Gary Williams can do with a little more talent
