O'Malley Talks Tourism, Jobs In The Mountains
GRANTSVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley is visiting the state's western mountains to discuss tourism and jobs.
O'Malley was scheduled to attend a tourism forum at New Germany State Park near Grantsville Monday morning, followed by a jobs forum Monday afternoon in Cumberland.
O'Malley says visitors to Garrett and Allegany counties spend $288 million a year, making tourism the region's biggest industry.
He's also promoting ideas for state and local partnerships to create and retain jobs.
