Md. Police Continue Probe Into Yoga Shop Slaying

BETHESDA, Md. (AP) — Montgomery County detectives are reviewing evidence in their investigation into the fatal attack and sexual assault of an employee at an upscale yoga clothing shop in Bethesda.

Police are trying to gather and review evidence from the Friday night attack inside the Lululemon Athletica shop.

Police say Jayna Murray, 30, was sexually assaulted and killed during an apparent robbery attempt by two masked men wearing gloves. A co-worker was also sexually assaulted inside the shop, but survived.

Capt. Paul Starks, a police spokesman, said Thursday the size of the award for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects has grown to about $150,000.

Anyone with information is asked to call 240-773-5070.

Why don’t you say weather they were white or black. Guess they were black lib media

Have you considered that the police may not know the race of the men yet as there were gloves and masks involved? The victim that survived may not have been able to give authorities that information. Therefore; I suggest you chill when it comes to assuming the men were black. For one thing, we know what it does when you ASS-U-me… and another thing is, people probably would have noticed 6ft and 5ft black men walking around in that area. I don’t think they would blend in very well. Stop blaming it on the black guy before you know the facts. And people wonder why black people always pull the race card… THIS IS WHY! Because when something happens it always “must be a black man”. Ugh! Disgusted!

Not to mention, if it isn’t black men who did this, you may be sending people on a hunt for the wrong people. Even putting the idea of that out there could throw off the hunt for the right people as everyone will start looking for two black men instead of the keeping their eyes open for ANY suspicious men around that height. Think before you speak people. You could throw the case off and prolong the catching of these criminals.

And why don’t they report without fail the court involvement of every person mentioned in every article ever written. Honestly, they should get the complete background info for every interested poster and state that commenter’s complete background along with their every post. I’m pretty certain the majoirty of fine upstanding citizens such as yourself would never post again.

This whole story stinks worse than in-laws.Too many unanswered actions & sounds like a set up or inside job.

Concealed carry permits, people! These kinds of crimes can be stopped with a concealed legal handgun. Also, never cooperate with a robber or kidnapper by allowing them to take you to a remote place or they will certainly be able to do whatever they want to you. You have a better chance of survival if you take a stand at the initial place of contact.

    • Give it a rest already

Just because it is legal to carry a gun, doesn’t mean that everyone will. Who’s to say these women would have wanted to carry a gun? That has nothing to do with this. Find somewhere else to rant about concealed carry permits.

    Her (black) co-worker did it.
I’m sure whatever they were arguing about was really worth taking a life over. Unbelievable. Disgusting. I hope she fries!
