Chicago May Have Eye On Baltimore Schools' CEO Alonso

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- One of America's biggest cities has its eye on Baltimore Schools CEO Dr. Andres Alonso.

WJZ's media partner, the Baltimore Sun, reports Alonso's success in the Baltimore City schools has drawn attention from Chicago Public Schools.

Chicago's former school superintendent Arne Duncan left his seat vacant to become U.S. Secretary of Education.

Alonso's contract expires in June, but he's not commenting on future plans.
