Md.’s Rep. Bartlett Says He’ll Run For 11th Term

EMMITSBURG, Md. (AP) — U.S. Rep. Roscoe Bartlett says he will seek an 11th term representing Maryland’s 6th Congressional District.

Bartlett told The Associated Press after an event in Emmitsburg on Friday that he will file for re-election at the earliest opportunity.

Joseph Krysztoforski of Baltimore County announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination earlier this week. The retired businessman is a perennial challenger for the seat.

Bartlett is 84 and will 86 on Election Day in 2012.

The oldest member of Congress is 87-year-old Republican Rep. Ralph Hall of Texas.

Why not, its a great gig, all the cuts that they make for us (we need to “share the pain”) never apply to Congress, or their wards, the high income.

Maybe Roscoe can explain why cuts in subsidies for Exxon and the other oil companies are off the table (as are farm subsisidies). Let’s go after Head Start and WIC, right!

Roscoe is a senile old fool but he votes right and he’s better than anything the democrats can put up against him.

Roscoe the rascal has been dead for years, he just has a good undertaker.

  • Wheres common sense when you need it

They will re-elect him. After all, all you need to say is that you want to go back and change the way Washington does business, and your in. No one stops to think that you can’t keep sending the same people back to Washington that created the way Washington is now. Wake up America!. Start putting new people in place. We will never get anything changed with the same dumb people in office.
