Temple Hills was once a very nice place to live in the early 80’s. When it became ward 8 extended the decline became highly visible, sadly today it’s not the communtiy that I loved and enjoyed. The Iverson mall area is just a shell of what it once was…an area that many D.C. residents flocked to for shopping and entertainment. Truthfully its sad to see this decline and the impact on the people who are trapped in this poverty and crime ridden area. An area that at one time one of the most desireable areas for African Americans to live in.
