BALTIMORE (AP) — Fire officials say a person has died in a two-alarm house fire in Northwest Baltimore.

Officials say they were called to the fire in the 4300-block of Springdale Avenue about 11 p.m. Tuesday, where they found the wood-frame house heavily engulfed in flames.

Firefighters searched the home and found an unconscious person on the second floor, who later died.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
