iJET Of Maryland Selling Itself To Swiss Firm
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- An Annapolis firm that specializes in whisking people out of dangerous global hot spots says it is selling itself to a Swiss company.
iJET Intelligent Risk Systems and 3i-MIND of Zurich announced the deal Wednesday. The privately held companies aren't disclosing the sale price.
iJET has about 100 employees who monitor problems worldwide for nearly 500 corporate and government clients. They help extract their clients' workers from dangerous situations when necessary.
3i-MIND makes threat-management software. It aims to combine its products with iJET's expertise.
The Swiss company says recent global events illustrate the importance of anticipating and responding quickly to rapidly evolving threats.
iJET will operate as stand-alone firm with Chief Executive Stephen Hoffman remaining at the helm.
